Dear all,
The Chinese Year of Ox is coming closer and closer to us (the first day of the Chinese New Year is Jan 26, next Mon). At the moment, we would like to say ‘Happy Chinese New Year’ and ‘Gong1 Xi3 Fa1 Cai2 (may you wealthy)’ to all of you! Hope everyone is going to have a healthy, fruitful, productive and prosperous year of Ox in 2009!
To celebrate the traditional Chinese New Year (also known as ‘Spring Festival’), the CSSA is going to organize a huge party on Feb 7, Saturday at Brown Hall 100. We will order delicious Chinese food from Lulu Seafood Restaurant, and we will have student organized performance after the dinner. Following that we will play the video of the New Year performance show directed by China Central Television. And most important of all, the whole event is free! It is a wonderful time to enjoy the great Chinese food and show with your family and friends. So please come to join us! We will send a reminder notice later about the New Year party event, so please stay tuned.
As this will be a big party, we will need volunteers to help out the food transportation, food distribution, room decoration and room clean-ups. If you would like to help any of these on Feb 7, Saturday, please email our Social Chair Shi, Yunfei at shiyfster@gmail.com before next Wednesday, Jan 28. We always sincerely appreciate your big help!
Last, we will play two Chinese movies this Friday 1/23 at 6:30pm at Brown Hall 100: Fei1 Cheng2 Wu4 Rao3 (If You Are the One) and Lang2 Ya2 (Wolf Fang). We hope to see you there!
