为了鼓励和帮助品学兼优的优秀自费留学生顺利完成学业，激励优秀自费留学生回国工作或以多种形式为国服务，经教育部批准，国家留学基金管理委员会设立的2008年“国家优秀自费留学生奖学金”项目的申报、受理工作从9月1日开始，截止时间为10月31日。
有关具体事宜请按照国家留学基金管理委员会网页公布的《国家优秀自费留学生奖学金实施细则》、“国家优秀自费留学生奖学金”申请指南、《国家优秀自费留学生奖学金申请表》（2008年）、专业名称及类码等文件、材料要求办理。
